MS-DOS v4.00, v5.00, and v7.10 do not do this, so eg by using uncaps.com we can get an uncapitalised MCB name. Enhanced DR-DOS also does not do this. FreeDOS does allcaps the MCB name. Usually, the shell such as FreeCOM or MS-DOS command.com allcapses the name already before it reaches the kernel, hiding this difference.
